Shultz Steel Company produces large structural die forgings and rolled rings primarily for the aerospace industry out of alloy steel, titanium, aluminum and nickel alloys. It is a vertically integrated facility.

As a member of the Shultz Steel senior leadership team, the Operations Director is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing operations management, including active engagement in identifying and eliminating safety risks and hazards, product manufacturing, staffing, schedule execution, on-time delivery, 6S improvement, lean manufacturing implementation, meeting and exceeding productivity improvement targets, operator preventative maintenance performance, supervisor leadership development, operator HR development. In addition, the Operations Director participates in developing and executing strategic growth initiatives along with the entire leadership team. You will be leading a team of 7+ direct reports and over 250 hourly, on a 26-acre, multi-facility worksite.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Management, advanced degree a plus
- Minimum 15 years as an Operations Manager with heavy or complex manufacturing experience, with progressively increasing responsibilities
- Progressive leadership experience
- Significant experience in 6S, LEAN manufacturing, 6-Sigma, and manufacturing process control
- Aerospace manufacturing and experience in open and closed die forging is REQUIRED.
