Wyman-Gordon is a worldwide supplier to the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets. We hold quality accreditations for all of the major airframe and engine manufacturers for both civil and military applications. Wyman-Gordon creates rotating closed-die forgings which are critical for aerospace and land-based gas turbines. Wyman-Gordon also manufactures structural forgings for airframe, nuclear, petrochemical, power generation, and space applications. In addition, Wyman-Gordon has heat treating, testing, and other operations that support its global forging business.

Located in South Gate, California, Shultz Steel operates the most modern vertically integrated forging facility in the aerospace industry. Shultz Steel offers a wide range of impression forgings, including some of the largest and most complex available - and they have an unsurpassed line of open die forgings. Shultz Steel is capable of producing seamless rolled rings up to 26 feet in diameter. The operation uses all major alloys including titanium, vacuum melt high strength and stainless steels, nickel and cobalt; and aluminum (rings only).

Participate as a multidisciplinary engineering team member.

Assist with the design, development, integration, and testing of projects.

Assist with documentation of data, specifications and spreadsheets.

Participate in the process of projects.

Provide technical support to assigned team/department.

Student must be pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineeirng, hard sciences (chemistry, physics, mathematics).

Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.

Must have excellent mathematical, analytical, problem solving and organizations skills.

Possess a strong technical aptitude along with the ability to work independently.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Proficient in PC programs, including Microsoft Office.

Ability to interact with all levels of personnel in cross-functional teams.
