Summary:
As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for the calibration, routine inspection, and testing of instruments, meters, gauges, and other testing equipment and measuring equipment.  This position is critical to both the Tilton and Franklin operations as the individual ensures the accuracy and precision of the measurements taken while using the equipment.  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Perform work in a safe manner by following all safety rules and providing recommendations to help make PCC a safe work environment.
•    Achieve team production and efficiency goals by working to meet all operational and quality standards to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
•    Conduct calibration tests to determine performance or reliability of mechanical, structural, or electromechanical equipment and part fixtures.
•    Plan sequences of calibration tests according to equipment specifications.
•    Write and submit reports about the results of calibration tests.
•    Visually inspect equipment to detect damage or functional issues effecting use.
•    Coordinate with outside calibration vendors as needed.
•    Interact with Quality, Engineering and Maintenance team as needed.

Experience and Education:
•    A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but may be substituted by manufacturing experience.
•    Five years of manufacturing experience preferred previous experience in the casting industry or dimensional inspection is a plus. 

Requirements:

•    Understanding of GD&T, ability to read drawings and interpret dimensional results.
•    Understanding of math calculations including basic math and more advanced calculations such as determining angles and distances using trigonometry and determining true position based on measurements.
•    Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as height gage, calipers, and test equipment or other devices where interpretation is required.
•    Ability to use computer software including spread sheets and calibrations gage-pack software.  
•    Ability to perform duties in manufacturing environment which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.  Ability to lift up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
