Summary

Proof of US citizenship, nationality, and/or permanent resident status in order to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations.

Coordinate safety initiatives, projects, corrective actions, incident investigations and support safety processes and programs that support Henderson’s goals and objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Participate in all incident reports and investigations and identifying root cause and solutions.
  • Participate in the TIMET Safety training and new hire orientation training.
  • Assist with maintaining environmental reporting.
  • Participate in Safety/Environmental 10 counts.
  • Coordinate JSA program and maintain master List.
  • Assist with the coordination of all required environmental programs for the site including stormwater, waste management, and air quality.
  • Conduct safety and environmental inspections, document and implement necessary changes.
  • Conduct ergonomic, safety, and environmental audits of current and future manufacturing equipment/processes.
  • Coordinate, conduct and report industrial hygiene testing as necessary.
  • Weekly distribution of reports and HSE related activities.
  • Assist with maintaining required documentation for incident reporting, training, and additional requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a file of safety data sheets in conformance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Stay current on the various regulatory (OSHA) requirements and changes. Continue an active personal/professional development program through selected seminars, home study courses, trade magazines, books, journals, etc.
  • Coordination of safety shoe program and other PPE
  • Coordination of plant safety recognition programs.
  • Coordinate Henderson Hearing Conservation Program, Respiratory Protection Program and Radiation Protection Program.
  • Participate and assist with EHS initiatives.
  • Participate and assist with Environmental Sustainability programs.
  • Work with EHS programs as needed in compliance with local, state, and federal (OSHA, EPA, NDEP) rules and regulations.
  • Participate in TIMET – Henderson Safety/Environmental Committees and/or Emergency Response Team(s).

Education and Experience

Degree in Health and Safety or Environmental Science preferred.

0 - 3 years' experience in a HSE function, preferably in manufacturing.

OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to focus on details and understand the overall impact of events and decisions.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of Federal and State OSHA regulations and the potential safety hazards.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with personnel at all organizational levels.

Strong Computer Skills, preferably MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, etc).

Ability to travel to other TIMET facilities (less than 10%).

Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
