Position Summary

 The Master Scheduler will coordinate schedules and inventories to ensure efficient and effective routing of products through the operation. Serves as a primary point of contact and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments. Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs. Involved with a wide range of functional areas within the operation.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Champion of safety, quality and compliance throughout organization.
  • Model/simulate conflicting product lines
  • Regular review of the forecast and firm sales order demand in the master schedule.
  • Work with sales team on capacity and lead times
  • Inventory management
  • Analyze short/long term capacities to minimize the cause for past due orders and/or overtime.
  • Provide status of current production orders and material shortages to management.
  • Work with Planners and Operations Managers to help balance and coordinate the manufacturing orders based on

material/tooling/OSP/capacity availability.

  • Coordinate with purchasing to ensure just in time material delivery, as well as tooling and component availability to ensure no material stock outs in support of the production consumption rates and the committed schedule.
  • Initiate material release and production documentation to work areas for delivery to committed customer schedules.
  • Track and manage the accuracy and effectiveness of the master schedules to rationally adjust forecast and to continuously improve the overall master scheduling process.
  • Work with plant Finance to understand the impact master scheduling has on the plant's financials.
  • Attend daily TOC meetings, sales forecast meetings, and others as required.
  • Work with Supply Chain partners to drive holistic continuous improvement through collaboration resulting in increased Customer loyalty, reduced inventory entitlement, and productivity.
  • Track, analyze, and report results for plant Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage and direct the timely execution of projects, from inception to completion.
  • Identify key issues and suggest and implement plant-specific improvement activities.
  • Lead and advise teams; ensure achievement of deliverables.
  • Drive corrective action to achieve customer and Company objectives
  • Review and analyze change requests.
  • Monitor forecast consumption by sales and proper use of “Available-to-Promise”.

 

Required Skills:

  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, relentlessly execute and deliver results through a team in conformance with action plans in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to apply lean manufacturing methodology, TOC, and problem-solving skills to drive the business improvements in a metric-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Computer literate, particularly in spreadsheet; advance skills required
  • Attention to detail and possession of excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

 

Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree; engineering (BSME, BSEE) or other related technical degree preferred.
  • APICS CPIM is preferred.
  • More than 5 years of progressive hands-on manufacturing production control experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MRP logic.
  • Proven track record of driving results in a Machining environment.
  • Experience leading people and obtaining results through others, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing short to medium term projects.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $101900 to $152700 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
