AVK Industrial Products, a Precision Castparts Company, manufactures superior mechanical inserts, studs, compression limiters, installation tools and military standard bolts. AVK produces blind installed threaded fasteners for transportation and general industrial markets worldwide. We use state of the art high-speed cold forming equipment to produce blind installed threaded inserts and studs.
We feature product lines of both unified (INCH) and metric fasteners along with numerous special designs that meet customer application requirements. All aspects of our business are controlled and certified to the exacting requirements of ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 14001:2015 international standards. Level Two: Selected Plating Operator Level 2 candidates in this position with occasional supervision and specific direction, will be expected to tend plating line tanks which are used to coat fastener parts with various finishes per customer request. Perform various support functions for the Plating department. Candidates in this position shall be fully familiar with various racking techniques, manual and tank chromate treatment applications, and other pre- cleaning operations such as solvent cleaning and vapor degreasing. Level 2 Plating Operators will also be expected to maintain terminal equipment in good working order throughout the production cycle such as repair and replacement of racking components and equipment as necessary. Candidates must be self-disciplined and self-motivated individuals with strong accountability (attention to details) skills. Candidates must have the ability and desire to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment, be resourceful and innovative along with presenting a strong business ethic and compliance to leadership and company policies, and a good communicator with the ability to represent the company in a positive manner.
• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Correctly interpret work orders
• Lift up to 35lbs
• Mixes chemical solutions according to formula specified on work order.
• Places containers of workpieces in tank of solutions for specified time.
• Dips articles in successive baths to neutralize oxidation.
• Records data and inputs to computer system.
• May drive forklift to move parts barrels
• Operates parts loading and unloading system
• Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Typically 0-1 Years of Experience
• GED or High school diploma preferred but not required.
• The ability to read and write English.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software as related to work order processing in the plating line.
