Position Summary:

Under direct supervision, the Lab Coordinator will learn tasks specific to the monitoring and control of processing solutions and chemicals used in this organization’s facility. The Lab Coordinator will be expected to collect daily samples for testing, perform process and solution control testing, and formulate buffer solutions and reagents. They will become familiar with the operation and standardization of laboratory equipment, as well as maintaining a clean, sanitized, and organized laboratory setting. Level one laboratory technicians will also be expected to perform recordkeeping of tests and consistent monitoring of production solutions and chemicals on a regular basis.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conducting product and process audits
  • Perform basic quality test (general inspection, capability studies, DOE testing, SPC etc…)
  • Perform basic investigation on quality rejections.
  • Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company’s commitment to QUALITYand SAFETY
  • Maintaining regular and punctual attendance according to shift-times or a pre-arranged work schedule.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

 

Required Skills:

  • Manufacturing/Machining experience preferred.
  • Basic gauging and inspection knowledge
  • Able to follow directions and work independently.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • General Computer skills
  • AS9100 trained auditor (training provided)

 

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of quality control experience (inspection, lab testing, gauging etc.)

 

Level of Education:

  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required. AS degree preferred.
