Location Profile:

 The Noranco Deer Valley and Jet Processing facilities were recently acquired by PCC Aerostructures. PCC provides high precision machined and fabricated components to the commercial and aerospace industry, along with anodizing, passivation and other surface treatments.  Aircraft platforms currently include the Boeing 737, Airbus A380, Lockheed Martin F-35 and Gulfstream E650.  Combined annual sales revenue is in excess of $40 million and growing.

Position Summary:

Level One: Level one is an entry level Assembly Operator position requiring significant supervision to perform a variety of entry level assembly tasks. These tasks require basic competencies in determining the right tool for the job, reading technical documents, prints and work instructions, using templates, jigs  and fixtures to execute minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, mixing and using two part sealants and epoxy, riveting, installing freeze fit bushings, drilling, as well as reaming and counter sinking close tolerance holes. In addition, level one Assembly Operators will use basic handheld measuring tools such as scales, micrometers and calipers to verify part dimensions. Typically, 0-1 years of experience, with evidence of strong mechanical aptitude.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Correctly interpret work order (traveler/router)
  • Use Visual to clock into jobs
  • Identify proper assembly tools
  • Ability to follow work instructions
  • Ability to look up specs
  • Cleanliness/organization (6S)
  • Basic part marking (Ink stamp)
  • Tools – General & Inspection
    • Hand tools (Wrenches, feeler gauges, etc.)
    • Torque wrench
    • Calipers
  • Bushing/Pin installation (Freeze fit)
  • Use of Scale to mix sealant/primers/paints
  • Helicoil installation
  • Key-inserts installation
  • Solid rivets installation
  • Part protection / part handling
  • Meets production goals “ESH”

 Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of handheld measuring tools
  • Read and write English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Pass eye exam (Near Vision & Color)

Required Experience:

  • 0-1 YOE

 Level of Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED desired but not required.
