Manages the Chemistry Laboratory to provide prompt and accurate analyses of all raw materials and finished products, to develop new analytical techniques as required, and to provide support for QA/QC functions; partners with manufacturing, Purchasing, and quality control departments as well as external suppliers and customers.  Duties will include routine analyses, methods development, supervision of laboratory personnel, and purchasing.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelors degree (preferably in Chemistry, physical science or engineering)from a college or university; or years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge and experience in analytical spectrochemical methods for metals
  • Understanding and knowledge of analytical chemistry and quality systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications
