Greenville Metals is a unique metallurgical resource with the ability to partner strategically with customers. We provide technology-based solutions and services to companies around the globe which require air melt grade master alloys and conversion products. Greenville Metals produces metallurgical products using many techniques including electric arc furnace, AOD, induction furnaces, and various crushing, grinding, and sizing equipment. We use nickel, cobalt, and iron-based (particularly stainless steel) alloys to produce products such as ingots, pigs, shot, and powder.

This key executive level position is responsible for managing, planning, directing, organizing, and developing the US manufacturing capabilities and executing its strategic plan for manufacturing excellence.

  • Drives continuous improvement in environmental compliance, health, and safety.
  • Drives quality improvements through traditional Quality Assurance/Quality Control activities, audits, and root cause analysis.
  • Oversees all manufacturing operations, gives direction, resolves problems, sets deadlines to assure that all company manufacturing objectives are met.
  • Reviews financial and budgetary reports, cost data, to assure plant operations meet company profitability and financial objectives. Responsible for US profit and loss.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and plans for plant capital needs and completes capital requests in accordance with corporate requirements.
  • Assists in developing and implementing manufacturing labor policies.
  • Assists in determining manufacturing manning and employment levels.
  • Directs the workforce to meet company labor objectives.
  • Assures company compliance with all established company and corporate policies, procedures, and governmental regulations pertaining to plant safety or environmental issues.
  • Keeps abreast with metals industry state of the art and technological advancements to assist the company in maintain its manufacturing efficiency and competitive ability.
  • Supervises, directs, evaluates the job performance of all direct reports within the manufacturing organization.
  • Makes presentations, conducts meetings, and communicates with all levels of the corporation pertaining to manufacturing-related activities.
  • Shares best practices within the organization.
  • Leads by example, instilling skillsets and mindsets, in order to drive continuous improvement; coaches and develops employees; leads cross-functional teams.
  • Assists all teams as needed to ensure improvements are made and sustained.
  • Performs all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct and Sox guidelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (Engineering, Material Science, Manufacturing Management) or equivalent management, technical experience in a like industry such as powdered or revert metals, steel or investment casting.
  • Ten years’ experience in progressively responsible manufacturing positions is required; previous experience managing and mentoring direct reports required.
  • Leadership skills to positively model and champion results-oriented culture; motivate, coach, drive performance; and maximize manufacturing excellence to achieve strategic deliverables and bottom-line results.
  • PCC tool box & metrics acumen to drive quarter-over-quarter continuous productivity improvement.
  • Communication skills: effectively utilizes all methods of communication, oral and written to assure manufacturing strategy is clearly communicated, understood and cross-communicated within the organization.
  • Talent management skills and abilities to identify and develop key talent and a strategically focused workforce within the manufacturing organization.
  • Technical expertise – continuously seeks to advance and share professional technical knowledge, develop new ideas and seek best industry practices to maintain constant manufacturing state of the art capability.
  • Financial skills – the ability to analyze and interpret financial data, budgets, and other financial reports and translate that information into manufacturing action items, goals and deliverables.
  • Personal integrity and able to conduct themselves and their job responsibilities in an ethical and non-discriminatory manner.

Must be able to travel regularly by air or car; must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position with repetitive hand motions. Employee will be required to make frequent visits to the manufacturing environment and must be able to occasionally walk and stand, sometimes in extreme heat or cold.
