Effective early February 2016, Berkshire Hathaway, led by chairman and CEO Warren E. Buffet, acquired Precision Castparts Corp
- Responsible for the corporate general ledger including preparing journal entries, participating in the month-end processes, preparing reconciliations, and developing and improving analyses
- SOX Coordinator for the corporate office ensuring compliance with the PCC SOX Program and associated policies
- Coordinate with both external and internal auditors to complete financial audits and SOX testing
- Support balance sheet and income statement budgets / forecasts including preparing periodic reports for management review
- Support the corporate capital appropriations request process including submitting requests, tracking, reconciliation, and compliance with corporate policy
- Assist with quarterly preparation of schedules for review by management, and other analysis
- Cross-train with other members of Corporate Accounting
- Identify process opportunity areas and develop and implement procedures to improve organizational efficiency
- Perform special projects, other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred
- Minimum 2 years of accounting / finance experience
- Experience in public accounting or accounting role within a public company preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and key accounting principles
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to think critically, ask thoughtful questions
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Skilled to work independently with management oversight
- Organized with attention to detail
- Deadline driven
