Position Summary: The Engineering Manager has full technical and managerial responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating engineering department assignments. This role also is responsible for new product introduction, cost reduction initiatives and maintenance activities on production parts.
Essential Functions:
 Support engineering department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
 Provide a strong technical presence & interface with our customers.
 Confers with the engineering team, operations, and sales to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
 Selects, trains, organizes and supervises subordinates to guarantee their effectiveness, and personal growth.
 Develop a pipeline of engineering and leadership through engagement with Co-op and Development programs.
 Provides technical support and guidance to the production departments on new concepts, technical issues and overall manufacturing objectives.
 Champions and supports the Engineering Group’s specific needs and requirements.
 Establishes and executes annual operating budgets with input from Finance Group.
 Formulates long and short-range strategies for engineering functions.
 Monthly and weekly forecasting and capacity review. Required Skills:

 Demonstrated ability to develop & execute action plans that will deliver results.
 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
 The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.
 Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
 Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Desired Skills:
 Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
 Experience working with customers in a technical capacity.
 Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
Experience & Education
 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials or other related Engineering discipline.
 Master’s degree a plus.
 Minimum of 10 years engineering experience in investment casting.
