Position Summary:

The plating operator will learn and complete tasks that support the Plating department. A plating operator will be expected to perform a variety of support functions which include but are not limited. Other responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as adherence to organization safety rules and regulations. Level one plating operators will also be performing verifications ensuring that all traces of organic soils, fingerprints, dirt and dust etc. are removed by using solvent cleaners. 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • In Process Inspection (Visual & Functional, Recording)
  • Set work priority & schedule
  • Perform full machine setups
  • Provide leadership and training to lower level employees
  • Production Paperwork/Operation Audit

 

Required Skills:

  • The ability to read and write English.
  • Basic Inspection Processes (Tools & Measurements)
  • Advanced Understanding of Machine Function (Setups)
  • Advanced knowledge of tools (Drills, Reams, Taps)
  • Communication Skills (With manufacturing engineers, QA, Closing and Management)

 

Experience & Education:

  • Typically 0-2 years of recent and relevant work experience or training
  • High School Diploma or GED is expected
