PURPOSE:

Develop training programs for new and seasoned operators, operators pursuing re-training, and

cross-training opportunities. Coordinate and coach other trainers in their record keeping

and training functions. Conduct audits of processes and quality in training, to assure compliance with customer requirements is met. To give guidance and feedback to trainers.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Facilitate with safety that employees have been assigned the required safety training.
  2. Facilitate and/or development of the training courses and/or training materials.
  3. Facilitate Generic Orientation Training, TATS Certification Training and annual re-certification when needed.
  4. Initiate and revise training Courses and Curriculum as needed.
  5. Audit TATS trainer’s methods.
  6. Assist in the evaluation of all incoming employees to determine training needs if there are issues, and to establish interim evaluation periods if necessary.
  7. Administrate and train to the LMS.
  8. Conduct audits on training development and outcome, to provide feedback to supervision, operators, and engineering.
  9. Facilitate the flow of product by way of being the liaison between training, management, process control, quality control, engineering, safety and human resources.
  10. Compile and issue monthly list of TATS Certified Trainers.
  11. Regular and predictable attendance.
  12. Conduct hands-on training.
  13. Facilitate with HR, management and trainers, employee review period to make sure employee’s training is on track for their current step progression.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of relative experience in leadership and/or training.
  2. Certified Task Analytical Training System (TATS) Trainer.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  4. Ability to multi-task.
  5. Ability to properly prioritize workload.
  6. Must be highly organized.
  7. Ability to use various computer systems and software to include Excel, Word, Access, Microsoft Outlook Email, Internet and others as required.
  8. Ability to work independently and as a team member, and to give and receive instructions and training.
  9. Ability and desire to continue education and take classes to improve job skills as needed.
  10. Required to complete Hazardous Waste Management, Confined Space and Radiation Training.
  11. Successfully complete the Auditor Training Course.
