Analyze production capabilities to ensure production plans are feasible.
Work closely with operations, production control, sales, and interplant logistics to address any significant exceptions in TIMET’s ability to meet forecasted and actual demand.
Plan and manage intermediate material buffers according to the NA planning directive.
Ensure material availability required to support actual and forecasted production plans as well as buffer targets.
Order melt based on NA planning directives within melt lead time guidelines, and work with converter planners as needed ensuring proper priority.
Create process orders for buffer fulfillment based on acknowledged melt orders.
Expedite production of buffer materials as needed ensuring planned cycle time adherence.
Analyze and publish mill product lead times based on plant capabilities ensuring production plan adherence at a minimum.
Acknowledge sales orders to external and internal customers based on material/capacity availability while supporting latest NA planning directive.
Create process orders for finished products at time of sales order acknowledgement.
Manage all stocked inventory and intermediate WIP, and lead MRB review process ensuring timely disposition of slow moving materials.
Own product master data used to plan production for proper input/output materials, resources, routing sequences, inter-operation times, overall cycle times, etc. submitting change requests to master data manager as needed.
Direct clerical staff who issues process documents for material movements, shop floor routings, outside conversion, and shipments.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management, business, or related field.
APICS certification a plus.
3 to 5 years experience in Planning, Production Control, or Supply Chain Management in metals manufacturing preferred
Proof of US citizenship, nationality, and/or permanent resident status in order to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations
Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be detailed oriented.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office software
SAP experience preferred
Prior inventory management and planning experience a plus.
