Responsible for fulfilling the role of a Quality Inspector; this is a hands-on position.  Ensure documents and records associated with Quality Assurance are met and maintained, in accordance with established procedures.  Provide support for all functions within Quality Assurance below the level of Quality Engineer. Quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found.  Maintain the most recent interpretations of the quality system requirements and therefore ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality management system standards.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect parts to assure conformance with customer specifications
  2. Provide Quality Assurance support to Operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques.
  3. Resolve quality issues of materials related issues.
  4. Effectively communicate and reinforce our commitment to quality improvement efforts
  5. Provide support to Quality Engineers for documentation and data gathering.
  6. Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities for new tool or process design and startup. 
  7. Participate in pre-launch production trial run process monitoring.
  8. Participate with other departments to resolve customer complaints or concerns.
  9. Determine and apply Measurement System Analysis tools.
  10. All tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager, directly or through one of his/her assigns.

 

Required Experience:

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Previous quality inspection in a regulated environment. 

Preferred Technical Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of machining, plating, painting, and stamping processes
  • Certified Quality Technician.
  • Familiarity with GDT.
