SUMMARY
Develop interactive tools that convert enterprise data into business reports that can efficiently and rapidly visualize and analyze information to facilitate data-driven decisions.
Analyze data using visualization and statistical techniques to improve business processes and identify issues in order to increase quality, reduce cost, and meet strategic objectives. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (>90% TIME ALLOCATION)
•    Data Integration
        o    Extract and manipulate large datasets from different data sources such as databases, text files, Excel, Access, etc.
        o    Transform, integrate, and prepare data for analysis
        o    Develop new data collection tools and interfaces to support business requirements
•    Data Visualization
        o    Designated PowerBI Super User supporting all departments in the plant
        o    Communicate results to non-statistical audiences using data visualization
        o    Create powerful and user-friendly dashboards to improve SXP’s analytical and decision-making capabilities 
•    Data Science
        o    Perform statistical analysis in support of projects and routine reporting 
        o    Develop predictive analytics systems to improve KPIs
•    Training
        o    Train-up and provide support for PowerBI Power Users in various departments within the plant

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES (<10% TIME ALLOCATION)
•    Data Quality
        o    Recommend best practices and support strategies that help the plant maintain and improve data quality 
        o    Understand and communicate how data systems interact across departments and plants, and the downstream effects of data-related changes
•    Audits
        o    Identified as either a Process/Quality auditor or SOX auditor
        o    One (1) audit per year

QUALIFICATIONS
COMPETENCIES
•    Highly motivated, independent, attention to detail, big-picture thinker, innovative, communicator 
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Advanced understanding of database management system technology and architecture
•    Moderate understanding of statistical analysis including basic statistics (e.g. t-tests, ANOVA), linear regression, SPC, DOE, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•    Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field
•    2-5 years experience with data visualization tools -- PowerBI
•    2-5 years experience with SAP

SPECIAL SKILLS
•    Database Languages
        o    SQL (required), TSQL or PLSQL a plus
•    Statistical Languages
        o    R (preferred), Python, SAS, etc.
•    General-Purpose Languages
        o    Python, VB.NET, VBA, C, Perl, etc. (at least one preferred)
•    Software – Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel 
•    Statistical Packages – Minitab, R
