The Douglas facility is located in south central Georgia approximately 65 miles north of the Florida state line. Douglas is centrally located between Macon, GA and Jacksonville, FL; approximately two hours drive from either city. Valdosta, GA is about one hour’s drive away. Golf, tennis, fishing and hunting are popular outdoor activities.

JOB FUNCTION:
The incumbent should have the ability to analyze existing systems in cooperation with plant and corporate management for the purpose of increasing efficiency, timeliness, and value of report information and to reduce overall operating expense. Develop, implement, and instruct users in new approved systems on schedule with minimum disruption to present operations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
[1] Generate, investigate, design, implement, and document efficient systems that provide business information quickly and clearly.
[2] Instruct and aid system users in the area of input, maintaining controls and utilizing system output effectively.
[3] Suggest and recommend methods and procedures for realizing desired system results and reducing overall operations expense.
[4] Analyze and design systems once a clear understanding of the user need have been determined and implement in conjunction with the requirements of other systems
[5] Programming must result in effective use of data processing equipment.
[6] All systems will be documented in a clear, concise manner.
[7] All operations instructions will be in a clear concise form when given to the Information Systems Manager.
[8] Will assist in the back-up of all data base files in the case of an emergency.
[9] Strong communications skill – orally and written.
[10] Basic knowledge of hardware and networks to provide support when needed.
[11] On call to resolve plant issues on off hours as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
B.S. degree in Information Systems or Computer Science required. C#/Visual Basic and Dot Net experience required in a manufacturing environment. Mus
Must be able to demonstrate programming capabilities. Microsoft certification a plus.
Relocation is authorized for this position.
