Job Openings – DV Finisher Trainer (3 Openings)

One position open on each shift (day, swing, weekend)

Pay is 4% above Step 6 DV Finisher

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for employee onboarding for department 709 (Finishing), including:
  • Provide hands-on guidance with all employees, with focus on new hires (e.g., technique best practices & issues, work instruction questions, tools matters, clocking questions, etc.)
  • Complete all routine quality feedbacks for finishing and visual teams
  • Responsible for performing production work when not actively engaged in training activities

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage and communicate with peers, engineers, and all levels of leadership at Schlosser
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic computer and data entry skills
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and have a strong desire to achieve a measurable impact
  • Must have a strong safety awareness
  • Incumbent must meet all Step 6 DV Finisher expectations

Each candidate’s qualifications will be assessed to determine who is most qualified for the position. The final selection process will include interviews with the Department Supervisor(s), Area Manager(s), and Human Resources. This is an appointed position and title can be removed at any time for any reason. 


Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform quality assessments, read reports and use computer. Hear to communicate with co-workers. Stand to maneuver and operate tools; mobility between departments.. Climb, stoop, kneel. Lift/push/pull up to 35 pounds to move objects. Write, type and finger/grasp/feel and be able to frequently utilize powered grinding tools. Work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
