PCC Structurals is the world leader in superalloy, aluminum and titanium investment casting.  With applications in jet aircraft engines, airframes, industrial gas turbine (IGT) engines, military armaments, medical prosthesis, and many other industrial markets, we provide a wide portfolio  of high-quality components, some as large as 100 inches (250cm).

PCC Structurals also provides solidification modeling, in-house rapid prototyping (including SLA), digital radiography, hot isostatic pressing, precision machining and protective coating services. We operate 11 manufacturing facilities in the United States and Europe.

Located in the southeast Portland area, PCC Structurals Large Parts Campus and Lean Manufacturing Annex specialize in air and vacuum investment cast components as large as 79" for aerospace, energy and commercial applications. With over 660,000 square feet of manufacturing space, we work with corrosion-resistant, high-strength-to-weight Titanium and Nickel and Cobalt-based alloys with high temperature and mechanical properties.
Responsible for the safe manufacture of company products which may represent a broad diversity of manufacturing processes. Responsible for satisfying all quality and productivity requirements in a most cost effective manner. May supervises  multiple functions and/or shifts typically but not exclusively through shift/department leads. Production Supervisor positions are responsible for a lesser span of control and/or require a lesser level of demonstrated expertise in manufacturing and process skills than an Area Manager
  • Responsible for the safe manufacture of products, safety in the areas of responsibility, and maintaining a safe, injury free work environment. Ensures compliance with legal requirements and company safety policies.
  • Ensures that all employees work in a safe manner and that employees are properly trained in all safety procedures. Ensures that good housekeeping practices are consistently followed.
  • Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Responsible for adherence to process control procedures, operating instructions, and all quality control instructions.
  • Plans, organizes and supervises shift operations in accordance with production schedules and requirements in the most cost effective manner. Responsible for process control in area of responsibility. Maintains awareness of policies and procedures and assures compliance by assigned employees.
  • Ensures that thru-put and target earned hours are attained and budget criteria is met or exceeded.
  • Works with employees to effectively resolve work place issues, gives necessary feedback on employee performance. Conducts formal performance appraisals and recommends/approves pay increases, transfers and promotions in accordance with company policy and procedures and state and federal laws.
  • Interviews and hires (recommends for hire) employees.
  • Develops, trains, and involves employees in maintaining and improving departmental efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, cooperation and morale.
  • Maintains adequate staffing to meet required production schedules.
  • Assists with and provides input for annual budget for areas of responsibility. Thereafter, adheres to budget plans. Meets monthly budgets.
  • High school plus college level courses or equivalent training in manufacturing accounting, mathematics and statistics. Additional training in motivation, problem solving and group behavior, or completion of PCC Certificate program. Bachelors in Engineering and/or Business preferred.
  • Two to five years’ experience in related production operations with good ability to facilitate team problem solving and communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates a fundamental knowledge of and ability to apply PCC budgeting process and financial management tools. Demonstrates a fundamental knowledge of and ability to understand and apply the PCC planning process. Demonstrates fundamental knowledge of and ability to apply the PCC manufacturing processes in area of responsibility. Demonstrates fundamental knowledge of and ability to apply “lean”, “TOC”, “interference management” and “NEI” processes in areas of responsibility.
  • Requires that the incumbent be organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills or the ability to develop the skills required.
  • Computer literate, particularly in spreadsheet; financial; inventory and production planning and tracking applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, execute and deliver results in conformance with action plans.
