Manage the Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) program to support the organization, promote safe work practices and ensure facilities are in regulatory compliance.  Develop, plan, and implement programs to maintain compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory laws.  Develop, coordinate, and implement training programs in support of PCC policies and regulations.
   

Supervisory Responsibilities:                      

Indirectly supervises all employees in regard to Safety and Environmental issues. Works with management and supervision to ensure employees are trained and in compliance on all safety and environmental matters. Works with supervisors to see that Lean Manufacturing program is running efficiently.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or related field
• 5-7 years safety experience in a manufacturing environment
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state and local EHS regulations
• Operation and Maintenance of mechanical systems

Language Skills:                      

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, regulatory agencies, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:                      

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:                      

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
