Summary:
As a Product Engineer, you have a critical role on the team where you will provide the technical interface between the customer and PCC Structurals – Aluminum Operations.  You will manage the daily technical issues through interacting with employees throughout the plant, understand product end use and material constraints, define internal requirements necessary to produce the product, and address any customer technical concerns.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Perform work in a safe manner by following all safety rules and providing recommendations to help make PCC a safe work environment.
•    Manage the startup of multiple new casting parts from blueprint receipt to delivery.
•    Manage the actualization of customer changes and revisions.
•    Develop and document work instructions for production of new parts.
•    Track sample castings, initiate corrections and adjustments required in a timely manner.
•    Modify instructions and/or write tool orders to correct and improve parts.
•    Manage the daily technical issues as appropriate to ensure a consistent and reliable product.
•    Define and approve process items necessary to meet the product material and end use property constraints.
•    Maintain an ongoing technical interface via technical meetings and discussions with customer.  
•    Perform necessary technical evaluations to address any customer concern.  Investigate claims and document findings.
•    Work with engineering and operations to set up the gating, investing, casting, and heat treat instructions for new aluminum castings.
•    Provide the necessary technical support as required to other areas of the organization.

Experience and Education:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science
•    2 – 5 years of experience in investment casting industry preferred.

Requirements:
•    Ability to thrive in an environment where business and team needs may change to help meet business and customer demands.
•    Strong technical knowledge, including knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and drawing interpretation.
•    Basic understanding of cast products and processes.
