Job Summary

Leads Area and Turn Supervisors to oversee the planning, scheduling, execution and assignment of work in such a manner as to produce the product within quality, cost, cycle time, and on-time delivery objectives.  Facilitates the department’s implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions

Safety and Quality adherence: Ensures our shop floor is following all safety and quality procedures and guidelines.

Shop Floor Production and Execution: Coordinate with Area Supervisors and Planning teams on production planning and execution.

Shop Floor Maintenance and Engineering: Active roll in coordinating with Maintenance and Engineering our daily maintenance priorities and future maintenance and engineering projects.

Supervisor Management and Development: Oversees daily job responsibilities of the turn supervisor positions. Responsible for training and development of Turn supervisors.

Continues improvement initiatives: Lead roll, champions change.

Additional Responsibilities

Achieving daily, monthly, weekly and quarterly Flex and TOC goals. Includes but not limited to: ESH, Productivity, Overtime Management, Supplies, Repairs, Throughput, and VC/ESH

Lead roll in Cost Reduction, Yield Improvement, Productivity Improvements, Cycle Time improvement, On Time Delivery Improvements, Adherence to Budget, and other Department Improvement Initiatives.

Run reports in SAP to track and move material throughout the Departments to support throughput and on-time delivery.

Delegation of duties to Turn Supervisors

Support the development and application of programs that will promote long-term continuous improvement consistent with the operating objectives of the department. (Examples: Suggestion program, 5’S program, etc…)

Actively participate in succession planning for personal growth as well as development of Area and Turn Supervisors.

Operational responsibilities in the absence of Dept. Manager.

Qualifications

Competencies

Education and Experience

Four-year degree (technical preferred), with 5-7 years manufacturing experience

Special Skills

Knowledge of company and department policies and procedures.

Knowledge of Department volume capacity and equipment limitations

Ability to work with and communicate effectively with planning, maintenance and Engineering personnel.

Strong SAP skills

Team building, conflict resolution and management skills

Proficient with MS office, Excel, Word, Power Point.
