Located in North Hollywood, CA, Avibank Manufacturing, Inc., a PCC Company, a part of the Engineered Products Group, is among the world's leading manufacturers specializing in the design and production of sophisticated fasteners and multi-component fastening systems and devices, solving difficult engineering and critical performance problems.
Level three conventional machinists without assistance, set up and machine complex production part features, demonstrating expert skill in machining aluminum, titanium, and different types of steel, as well as machine setup and operation. Level three conventional machinist competencies include the ability to perform complex part layout to print, as well as expert mechanical inspection. The level three conventional machinists will provide leadership and mentoring to lower-level manual machinists, as well as demonstrate advanced trouble shooting and critical rework abilities. Level three conventional machinists will also produce complex tooling from scratch or to print as necessary, as well as assist in developing conventional machining processes for new product. Typically, 7+ years of machining experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operates conventional mills and lathes
- Inspects produced components per blueprint using standard inspection techniques
- Loads/unloads parts in provided work holding method per setup
- Replaces broken cutting tools/inserts as needed
- Completes work order documentation in accordance with AS9100 quality standards
- Loads and checks programming and setup
- Establishes work and tooling offset information
- Train other employees on operation and set up of machines
- Deburr parts as required

Level of Education:
High school diploma/GED equivalent required. CNC, Machining, Blueprint Reading, GD&T, Shop Math certifications preferred.
