MISSION:

To plan and perform generally routine tasks, processes or inspections (including dimensional scanning). To write work instructions. To work with technical/production technicians IV’s and engineers to devise new methods and/or procedures. To assist technical/production technicians IV,s and engineers in testing and evaluation tasks and relieve them of routine work.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Under general supervision, performs a wide range of established or routine technical/production tasks, processes, test or studies of a manual or technical nature. Plans approaches and assumes responsibility for performing and evaluating an assignment once the objectives are outlined. Provides solutions to technical problems using established techniques.
2. Works with technical/production senior technicians and engineers to help devise new methods and/or procedures.
3. Gathers, records, analyzes and summarizes data; may prepare charts or graphs.
4. Creates reports to aid in engineering disposition of castings.
5. Provides overall assistance to senior technicians and/or engineers. Works to general outlines provided by supervisor and has work reviewed periodically.
6. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 2 1/2-3 years prior relevant experience or an A.S or A.A. and 1-2 years of relevant technical experience, or equivalent training and experience.
2. Basic knowledge of scientific principles and laboratory techniques.
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to apply established procedures to complete a task after it is outlined.
5. Ability to coordinate one's work with others.
