Location Profile:

Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Shur-Lok manufactures fastening systems with superior locking devices for critical requirements including engine module assembly, structural assembly, rotor blade attachment, and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications.  Operations at the Irvine location include CNC Machining, CNC Waterjet Cutting, Laser Marking, Heat Treating, NDT, and EDM.

Position Summary:

Level One: Working with assistance, level one punch press operators interpret work instructions and routers as well as gather related work docs.  Level one punch press operators perform basic press operation once the job has been setup, including in process inspection, which requires the use of calipers, micrometers, etc., basic shop math and print reading. Typically 0-1 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Basic Machine Attending
  • In Process Inspection (Visual & Functional, Recording)
  • Perform First Part Buy-off (First Article Inspection)
  • Visual Management of Machine (Stamps & Dies etc.)
  • Production Paperwork/Operation Audit

Required Skills:

  • The ability to read and write English.
  • Basic Print Reading
  • Basic Shop Math
  • Basic Inspection Processes (Tools & Measurements)
  • Basic Understanding of Machine Function
  • Communication Skills

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $19.50 to $29.50 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.  For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
