Greenville Metals is a unique metallurgical resource with the ability to partner strategically with customers. We provide technology-based solutions and services to companies around the globe which require air melt grade master alloys and conversion products. Greenville Metals produces metallurgical products using many techniques including electric arc furnace, AOD, induction furnaces, and various crushing, grinding, and sizing equipment. We use nickel, cobalt, and iron-based (particularly stainless steel) alloys to produce products such as ingots, pigs, shot, and powder.

Work in collaboration with the EHS Manager- US to maintain GMI’s compliance with all Federal and State Environmental and Safety regulations. The position is responsible for:

  • Completing safety and environmental inspections.
  • Maintaining various EHS records.
  • Complete weekly inspections/audits.
  • Assist EHS Manager- US with tracking corrective actions and investigation statuses.
  • Adheres to plant and department safety rules, safely operate all equipment and tools, identifies and reports safety problems, corrects when possible.
  • Provide support for Greenville Metals Inc.’s team to impact injury reduction activities to decrease recordable incident rate to achieve a world class recordable rate of <1.0.
  • Assist with facilitating monthly safety training.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual required safety and environmental inspections.
  • Provide new hire orientation.
  • Gather required information required to submit EHS related reports.
  • Aide with incident investigations.
  • Help with ordering EHS supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Performs all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct and SOX guidelines.
  • Maintain clean and safe work area.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be enrolled in an EHS related field at a post-secondary education institution.
  • Good working knowledge of all MS Office applications and internet applications.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, be willing to learn and have a desire to succeed.
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision and use own initiative.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization, including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Perform all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct.
