PRODUCTS AND SERVICES:     PCC Douglas principally manufactures aircraft and land-based gas turbine engine rotating blades, stationary vanes and engine nozzles for OEM’s and the aftermarket for worldwide customers using the investment casting process.

LOCATION: The Douglas facility is located in south central Georgia approximately 65 miles north of the Florida state line. Douglas is centrally located between Macon, GA and Jacksonville, FL; approximately two hours drive from either city. Valdosta, GA is about one hour’s drive away. Golf, tennis, fishing and hunting are popular outdoor activities.

This position is only open to “U.S. Workers” as defined by the regulations issued by the Department of Labor under the Immigration Reform and Control Act. Proof of citizenship / residency will be required.

Responsible for coordination of the duties for Plant Accounting activities such as preparation of account analyses, maintaining records/systems, internal controls and other duties as deemed appropriate in accordance with GAAP.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

[1]       Financial functions, Internal Controls, and procedures of the Douglas Plant accounting and general accounting, to insure that proper internal control procedures are followed.           

 

[2]      Provide for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of financial results to satisfy internal, corporate, IRS, SEC, and audit requirements. Enforce compliance with GAAP and C.F.P&P.

 

[3]       Assist the Controller in preparation for monthly and quarterly Operations Reviews and other requirements as directed.

 

[4]       Supervision of Personnel within the Accounting Department that maintain files / records that will enable timely, accurate reporting of plant operations. They could be in General, Cost, Payroll, or Accounts Payable.

 

[5]       Reviews procedures being used to ensure generally accepted account principles are being used in reporting data, account analyses and reporting.

 

[6]       Ensure monthly closing activities are met to ensure timely reporting of activities.

 

[7]       Responsible for activities such as physical inventory or establishing of standards for the up-coming physical year.

 

[8]       Enforces compliance with corporate policies and procedures.                                                                                                                                               

 

 

[9]       Interfaces with other department heads to ensure proper coordination of activities

            is taking place to allow for continued growth and to smooth operations between departments.

 

[10]     Responsible for monthly forecasting of expected results and comparison of actual with expected. Identify problems and areas of opportunity and provide solutions where appropriate.

 

[11]     Interface with Divisional Management to ensure their business plan is communicated to others and then carried out.

BS in Accounting; CPA preferred.

 

Minimum of five to ten years’ experience in general and cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with at least two of those years in a supervisory position.

BS in Accounting; CPA preferred.
