LOCATION: The Douglas facility is located in south central Georgia approximately 65 miles north of the Florida state line. Douglas is centrally located between Macon, GA and Jacksonville, FL; approximately two hours drive from either city. Valdosta, GA is about one hour’s drive away. Golf, tennis, fishing and hunting are popular outdoor activities.

 

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES:        PCC Douglas principally manufactures aircraft and land-based gas turbine engine rotating blades, stationary vanes and engine nozzles for OEM’s and the aftermarket for worldwide customers using the investment casting process.

JOB FUNCTION:

 

Executes the assigned duties as necessary to support technical issues required to resolve machinery maintenance and other requirements.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

[1]        Takes responsibility for application issues and supports the department with technical related skills.

 

[2]        Reports to management all observed technical issues and problems experienced and perceived action required to resolve these matters.

 

[3]        Must have an good knowledge of industrial maintenance.

 

[4]        Must have extensive mechanical background or extensive electrical/electronics background to include PLC’s.

 

[5]        Must be able to identify and implement improvements in production processes. Improvements may include safety, product quality, increased throughput and equipment reliability.

 

[6]        Advanced understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance programs.

 

[7]        Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrate advanced trouble-shooting skills.

 

[8]        Demonstrate good problem solving skills and at all times promote safety and quality.

 

[9]        Have a good understanding of plant utilities.

 

[10]      Maintain hand tools and use them properly.

 

[11]      May assist with training of other Technician’s.

EDUCATION:

 

High school education required. Prefer 2 years of technical education in an engineering-related field.

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

2 - 5 years experience in industrial maintenance.

-Knowledge of industrial maintenance

-extensive mechanical background

-Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance programs
