PCC Structurals is the world leader in superalloy, aluminum and titanium investment casting.  With applications in jet aircraft engines, airframes, industrial gas turbine (IGT) engines, military armaments, medical prosthesis, and many other industrial markets, we provide a wide portfolio  of high-quality components, some as large as 100 inches (250cm).

PCC Structurals also provides solidification modeling, in-house rapid prototyping (including SLA), digital radiography, hot isostatic pressing, precision machining and protective coating services. We operate 11 manufacturing facilities in the United States and Europe.

Located in Clackamas, Oregon, PCC Small Structures Business Operations (SSBO) specializes in air and Vacuum Investment Cast Components for Aerospace, Energy, and Commercial Applications. Our robust engineering team, in-house prototyping capability, and 197,000 square feet of manufacturing space make it the ideal facility to bring your development program into production.
The Continuous Improvement Leader (CIL) contributes to the success of PCC SSBO by developing and leading programs and projects in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to achieve business objectives.  The CIL operationalizes Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement program by developing methodologies, projects and metrics for enterprise wide incorporation; and partners with site and Divisional leadership to establish and drive programs and metrics to achieve these business objectives.

Coach teach and lead the use of techniques to the leadership and business teams to drive improvement in organization.  Develop mentoring of senior and high potential leadership to assure tools are understood and utilized in daily activities.

 • Lead standardized 6S programs and assure sites have personnel and programs to achieve objectives.

 • Develop programs with regular report outs of metrics and independent audits to assure compliance for Continuous Improvement programs.

 • Develop and populate a Project Library that can be accessed for leveraged learning over the sites. Establish knowledge-based web site to encourage and maximize leveraged learning across the business.

 • Establish models that can be standardized, leveraged, and utilized as best practices to increase lessons learned, and expedite incorporation of best practices.

 • Works collaboratively with various departments, personnel and all aspects of the PCC SSBO leadership to implement continuous improvements, strategies and tactics directly and indirectly.

 • Performs and completes other tasks and duties as directed or assigned.

• 8-10 years of experience in a Continuous Improvement position in a manufacturing setting with increasing responsibility.

 • Previous experience as a supervisor in an industrial or manufacturing setting preferred

 • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or another related field of study; or, equivalent years of related experience in Lean manufacturing environment; or, an equivalent combination of education and years of experience in a Lean manufacturing environment.

 • Large-scale and/or Multi-site project management experience, including defining project scope, planning activities, and managing to completion.

 

• Ability to write technical reports and business correspondence.

 • Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, from manufacturing employees, engineers, customers, and management.

 • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

 • Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to understand the interrelationships of the individual processes that make up quality management system and process control systems, to conceptualize the inputs and outputs that are of critical importance in ensuring product realization, and solve problems using these skills.

• Ability to work variable hours, shifts and weekends as needed

 • Ability to preserve confidentiality of information

•Six Sigma Certification preferred
