Support front line support tasks for users, such as: password resets, updating proxy system, and other daily support tasks that occur in the IT department;

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

 

•Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company’s commitment to QUALITY and SAFETY! •Enters and responds to customer requests for technical support into the IT automated helpdesk system; •Partner with third party vendors to schedule hardware maintenance; •Manage inventory assignments and updates for IT department; •Coordinate with vendors on RMA and equipment disposal issues; •Coordinate with third party vendors to support printer and copier equipment repair; •Coordinate with third party vendors to support camera and security equipment/repair; •Respond to helpdesk calls, solicit proper information from users and input information into automated helpdesk system; •Manage outbound equipment shipments for IT group; •Support front line support tasks for users, such as: password resets, updating proxy system, and other daily support tasks that occur in the IT department; •RMA broken equipment, and open trouble call to track RMA equipment through the process; •Help organize equipment and supplies to ensure safety and organization are kept at high standards; •Assist in the creation of detailed process and procedure documentation; •Asset tracking review and physical inventory monthly; •Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues; •Configure, optimize, fine-tune, monitor OS software and servers; •Perform system backups and recovery; •Configure and deploy servers; •Manage the VM infrastructure; •Manage the DR and Backup infrastructure; •Interact with internal customers and stakeholders to understand processes and the impact of IT in the workplace, will be required to liaise with stakeholders on an ongoing basis (all levels) •Perform other duties, as assigned.

•Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Information Systems/Technology, but may be substituted with adequate, documented, and relevant experience and/or certifications •MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, CompTIA A+, preferred but may be substituted with documented experience •3 to 5 years’ experience providing administrative support in a technical environment
•Knowledge and experience with the following OS/Software: (NT4.0, Win2000, ME, XP, Vista, 7, 8, Server 2003,  Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012+), MS Office 2010+ (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access), Adobe Acrobat, and Exchange Outlook Web Access, Linux, Unix •Strong and well-developed verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills. •Demonstrates excellent prioritization, planning, and project management skills. •Knowledge and understanding of networking concepts, OSI model •Ability to disconnect, lift and move PC’s and monitors (50 lbs.) to new desks, and maneuver under counters and in tight spots to run cables and wires for PCs. •Ability to take direction well and be a motivated self-starter. •Must be willing to learn and stay abreast of new technologies and different system environments •Must be analytical and methodical in carrying out task and work assignments. •Attention to detail is a must along with the ability to reproduce successful, measured results. •Detailed oriented – Accurate, thorough, strong work ethic, and be driven to provide a quality solution.
