IT Network Technician Co-op

For approximately six months, the Information Technology Co-op will obtain practical business knowledge while applying what is learned in the classroom. During this time, the Co-op

Student will support the IT team in various areas. The Co-op will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain, repair, and upgrade components of the network including but not limited to workstations, printers, and software
  • Provide technical software, hardware, and network problem resolution to end users within a fast-paced environment by performing question/problem diagnosis and guide

users through step-by-step solutions on both an on-site and call-back basis

  • Configure, and install workstations, printers, terminals, and related components
  • Produce regular software reconciliations to confirm full deployment of required software and patches
  • Assist in testing and deploying Windows Updates
  • Assist in internal license audit, true-ups, and ongoing documentation
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of technical computer-related problems in an appropriate time frame
  • Promote safety by enforcing company rules and following best practices

Recommended Qualification and Skills:

  • The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Networking and server classroom knowledge, also preferably prior co-op or related experience
  • Strong team orientation with excellent written and communications skills, including the ability to explain technical
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly with minimal training
